Fill in the Blank Friday

Today, Erin from A Symphony of Grace came up with the blanks for Lauren at The Little Things We Do.  She's a new momma so she deserves a break to be with her precious little one.

Anyway, thanks Erin for providing the rest of us with the blanks!

1.  My favorite place I've ever traveled to is...Vero Beach, FL

2.  Europe...is somewhere I'd love to go some day.

3.  I pass the time on a plane (bus, train, or car ride) by...listening to my iPod, reading, or watching movies on laptop.

4.  My three must-haves when I travel are...phone, laptop, 

5.  My favorite travel companion is...this is hard because I've only traveled with family, never with my boyfriend.  But, I think when C-pher and I do travel that he'd be my favorite companion.

6.  The craziest thing that ever happened to me while traveling is...nothing that I can think of.

7.  The most exotic food I've ever tried while traveling is...some nachos in Belize, they were delicious, but I'm not sure the ground beef was really beef =(

8.  If I could live anywhere else, I'd live in...San Diego, CA--it's beautiful and always perfect weather!

Simple Pleasure

I love this especially during this time of the year.  Winter seems to keep me from getting out of my bed.  It's warm and cozy, and if I ever have to get out...I looove running right back under the warmth of my comforter.

Wish List: Camel Boots

Ice Festival

Yesterday, I went out with some friends to the 30th Annual Ice Festival in Plymouth, MI.  We bundled up and walked downtown to where the city hosts the festival.  Right before we left, it began to SNOW which, was kind of perfect.  It was beautiful and very cold.  But, I had a very nice time.  Only thing missing was C-pher who was unable to join due to back spasms.  :(

Simple Pleasure

This simple pleaseure caught my eye today because I actually live near a lake and when I'm driving to my house I drive along the lakeside.  When it's a sunny day, the water just glistens and it's quite beautiful.  I absolutely love the look of the sun shining on the sun.  The water just sparkles.

Wish List: CHI

I am in need of a new flat iron.  I use to have a CHI but it broke so I purchased a cheap one to replace it.  Well, now this one is kind of broken.  It works...just every time I use it I pull out hair because the plate on one side has a crack from dropping it and my hair sometimes gets caught in it.  Not fun.  I'm hoping to purchase another CHI real soon, preferably the one above!

Wish List: iPhone

I am so excited that Sprint is finally carrying the iPhone.  My contract is up in February and I want to trade from my Blackberry to the iPhone.  I contemplated whether I should wait for the iPhone 5 to come out or just get the iPhone 4S now.  There are rumors that the iPhone 5 won't come out until next fall.  I really don't want to wait that long...I am just to impatient.  So, iPhone 4S here I come!!!!  Now, if only February would hurry up and get here!  =)

I started reading Jennifer Weiner when I was in high school.  I first found Good In Bed and then In Her Shoes.  I loved them.  I have never been a BIG reader.  But in the past two years, I have tried to read more.  In this revelation to read more, I found Jennifer Weiner again.  Before Borders went out of business, I went and bought most her collection.

Simple Pleasure

This caught my interest because I HAVE dimples. =) And I LOVE dimples!!!  In my opinion, dimples really emphasis a persons smile....or...at just the right angles, they can make you look like you're a chipmunk with food stored in your cheeks.  This, no joke, is what my dad said of my senior portraits.  As I went through them all with him, he pointed out ones he didn't like because I looked like a chipmunk.  THANKS, Dad!!!

Wish List: Diana F+

I am not the BEST photographer, I do NOT know everything or much at all about photography.  But I WANT to!  And I WANT this camera!!!!  I love it!  It's fun, cute, and vintage.  If you can't tell, it's not digital but I think that's one of the best parts about it!  I also want a DSLR but right now that's out of my budget, but that doesn't mean I can't have this one too.  It has different features and fun lenses.  I get excited thinking of the fun pictures I could capture with this camera.

Fill in the Blank Friday

Today I'm linking up with Lauren @ the little things we do, for Fill In The Blank Friday!  This week is about "free time".

1.) One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is... hang out with C-pher.  We are in the process of catching up on True Blood and Dexter, so most days we hang we can be found watching one of the two.

2.) When I have free time I tend to... either be REALLY productive or REALLY unmotivated.  I find that if I want to get things done I am queen of productivity, but sometimes I can be quite unmotivated and literally lay in bed watching reruns.

3.) If I had an entire day completely to myself I would... more than likely spend it on Pintrest, Facebook, Blogger, listening to Pandora, or watching TV.  Oh, and snuggling with my pups Bella and Lucie!

4.) I would prefer to spend my free time (alone or with others)... most of the time I want to spend my time with C-pher, but I would be lying if I didn't say that there are times where I love the silence of being alone.

5.) Most of my free time happens... on the weekends unless I get off work early.  But sometimes the weekends get booked up with social or family events, so there isn't "free time".

6.) The best thing about free time is...  it's YOUR time.  You have the choice to do whatever it is that tickles your fancy.

7.) The next time I have free time I should probably... take care of some business but instead I'll probably... snuggle my pups and catch up on some Big Bang Theory/How I Met Your Mother. =)

Simple Pleasure

Before I took my blog break I talked about once a week posting about a simple pleasure...so I am going to continue this.  Read about the start of this here.

I like this simple pleasure because, I recently was informed that I give good hugs.  My first thought was, "Wow, that's strange."  But, after really thinking about it, it IS nice to hug someone and have them really hug back.  I mean, hugs caaan be awkward!  But with the right person they can be enjoyable.  So in the end, I appreciate the compliment.  =)

Crafty Christmas--Part 2

Yesterday, I showed you the wine tags I made.  I promised to show you my second craft for Christmas.  I found a few ideas on Pintrest for DIY canvas pictures.  There were so many ways to do this.  I went the easy route because honestly, I'm not that skilled when it comes to crafting.  Anyway, here is what I did.

2.) Canvas Pictures

I used black and white 8x10 canvas boards and printed the pictures I wanted in 8x10 at my local Walgreens.  I had to measure and cut down the pictures a little because the canvas curves, making the picture too large for the canvas.  Once the picture was the perfect size, I used a sponge painter and painted matte mod podge on the canvas and back side of the picture.  I then, but the picture onto canvas and smoothed out any air between them.  Then, I painted mod podge onto the front of the picture.  Let air dry and viola, you have a canvas picture!

 

I made canvas pictures for my sister and Aunt and they both LOVED them!

Crafty Christmas--Part 1

This Christmas, I did my best at being CRAFTY.  I think I was successful.

1.) Wine Tags

I used two pieces of scrapbook paper.  One glittery and one cream colored.  I then, printed a toast I found on google, onto the cream scrapbook paper.  Then, I cut both pieces of paper into the shapes leaving the glittery paper a little longer to give the border.  I punched a hole in the corner and tied a piece of ribbon around the neck of the bottle and through the tag.  And to keep the ribbon from just laying flat, I teased them with scissors.

MSU wins Outback Bowl

C-pher is an alumni from Michigan State University.  He is very committed to his team.  So, my last day of vacation was spent cheering on the MSU football team in their final game of the season.  If you don't keep up with college football MSU played Georgia in the Outback Bowl.  In the end I am a VERY happy girlfriend because MSU won!!!  YAY!!!!
